INTRODUCTION

Good business policy of industry includes efficient and environmentally friendly use of input raw materials, materials and energy with reduced waste and emissions. As part of the National Cleaner Production Program in Bosnia and Herzegovina (NCPP), the audit of resource efficiency and cleaner production was carried out in a furniture manufacturing company. The audit was done using the UNIDO RECP (Resource Efficiency Cleaner Production) method, which consists of a combination of preliminary audit, the so-called “Walk-through audit” and detailed audit with the collection of documentation data and measurement. In order to evaluate the level of application of the best available techniques “Check” lists where formed based on available information about the best available technologies for this type of industry.
